Highly Specialist Mental Health Practitioner
Sarah qualified as a mental health nurse in 1993. She is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and a member of the Royal College
of Nursing. She has worked with Children and Adolescents and their families since 2002. Sarah has a diploma in Systemic Practice and is an Intermediate Theraplay Practitioner. She uses a range
of therapeutic models when working with children and young people, including Theraplay, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and Sensory Attachment Intervention. She has experience in offering
bereavement support to adults, children and young people. She is currently employed as Lead Mental Health Nurse for Looked After Children in a Health and Social Care Trust in Northern
Ireland.
Sarah has a particular interest
in Theraplay and is currently completing her practicum Practicum training with the Theraplay Institiute.
